COURSES OFFERED


Initially only two programs are available for training nurses and pharmacists. The details are:
  • B.Sc. (Nursing)
  • B.Sc. (Phrmacy)
The courses are being organized in close collaboration at different campuses as offshore training modules.

B. Sc. Nursing degree

This degree course for GNM diploma qualified nurses at Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib College of Nursing, Sector 77, Mohali. (Sohana). This 1 year degree programme will include the following:

  • Degree programme- Class room training.
  • ?CGFNS / NCLEX coaching by experts from the US / CANADA.
  • IELTS training.

B.Sc. Pharmacy Degree

The degree course for this stream is an 18 months programme. This Course is being conducted by AUCEAN International at the South Seas University Regional Campus, GT Road, Goraya (Punjab). The programme will comprise of:

  • Degree programme- Class room training.
  • IELTS training.
  • 6 months internship at Medical Establishments in New Zealand / America.

This 18 months post diploma degree to programme offers an unique opportunity to work and train with the best in the field and an internship of 6 months in the US / New Zealand or India with a chance for employment in these countries.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND ADMISSION PROCEDURE


Admission will be granted on the basis of date of registration and meeting the eligibility criteria. Initially only 30 seats are available for each course. In order to join this degree programme the student must meet the following conditions:

  • Qualified in respective diploma (GNM or D Pharma).
  • Registered and licensed to practice by respective registering authority.
  • Willing to be employed in US / Canada / New Zealand.

ESSENTIAL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION


For grant of admission the student must forward the following:

  • Certified copies of 10th and 12th class education.
  • Certified copies of Diploma Qualification.
  • 4 passport size photographs.
  • Registration certificate from their respective licensing authority or copy of the application for the same - if not yet registered.
  • Registration fees of Rs 1000 (Rs one thousand only) - to be adjusted in the curriculum fees.
Each student will be required to provide a copy of passport, police clearance certificate and medical certificate during second semester for processing their visa applications. ALL PAYMENTS ARE TO BE MADE THROUGH BANK DRAFT OR LOCAL Cheque favoring AUCEAN International payable at Chandigarh.

SPECIAL CHARACTERSTICS OF THE PRGRAMME


The partnership with South Seas University to conduct these degree programs will ensure international standards education facility for a WHO approved degree for exploring employment avenues in the US, Canada and Europe. The exceptional aspects of the programme are:

  • Individual Assessment-Admission time assessment of the students to identify their specific individual problem areas for expert guidance and attention.
  • Language skills- All students will be required to join English language classes everyday to improve their writing and speaking capabilities to bring it at par with IELTS BAND 7 or more.
  • High speed internet connection- High speed internet access will be provided within the institute to all students to encourage research from various sources.
  • Laptop Computers- All students will be encouraged through a institutional negotiated deal to acquire personal laptop computers to ensure familiarity with the international work culture.
  • Experts' visits- Various experts from the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, trade and other connected fields will be requested to address our students on a regular basis. These interactive sessions shall be organized on a monthly basis from second semester onwards.
  • Self improvement modules- All students will be subjected to motivational and self improvement exercises with experts during the course. These sessions will be organized for self analysis, goal setting and SWOT (STRENGTHS, WEAKNESSES, OPPORTUNITIES and THREATS) analysis.
  • Personal counseling sessions- All students will be provided 1 to 1 counseling sessions during the 1st and the last semester and when required.

All additional initiatives towards professional development will be conducted jointly for all students of the University. Both campuses will thus be well integrated to create a unique opportunity for the graduates to develop into well trained individuals in their respective fields.


AWARENESS MODULE


Ample opportunities will be available to the students to upgrade their knowledge base about the specific work culture, HR policies and local customs and traditions of the likely country of future employment- US, Canada and other European Countries. Even before the students take up their internship training in the US or NZ, an indoctrination module shall be conducted to create awareness about the following aspects:

  • Cultural, social and other peculiarities of the new country.
  • Trade practices.
  • Expected differences in work cultures of both countries with particular reference to work environment.
  • Available opportunities for further study and development in the new environment.
  • Guidelines on finding safe and secure boarding & lodging facilities.
  • Environmental conditions
  • Dos and don'ts list.

EMPLOYMENT GUARANTEE


All students will be required to execute an agreement to be employed in the US / Canada on completion of their training. The job contracts and visa process will be completed by AUCEAN International.
